I recommend the VTC titles related to the Adobe Family of software if you want to learn more. I am not an expert user of either software but I have learned to use them fully in order to complete architectural presentations that communicate ideas with potential clients. The other software I am referring to is of course Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I will also be demonstrating how you can integrate AutoCAD base drawings with raster and vector editing software which has now become common in the majority of architectural firms. This tutorial is for users that have experience using any previous version of AutoCAD. I will be incorporating the new features of AutoCAD 2007 through out the tutorial making references to improvements of existing commands. It has been my experience that you can not explain AutoCAD commands unless you have a project with direct application to the commands. Rather I will be using a set of drawings as an example of how commands are used to complete a project. It is not my intention to discuss each command separately and how it can apply to one drawing. The advanced features of AutoCAD which I'll be demonstrating in this tutorial are important because they keep the team of architects and drafters working together to meet all deadlines through out the many phases of a construction project. The purpose of this tutorial is to demonstrate how you can begin to use AutoCAD beyond 2D drawing to meet your office needs. In architecture it goes without saying that it is very important to put together a good set of construction drawings. It has a very straight forward to 2 dimensional drafting and now with this release AutoCAD has taken a huge step forward in making 3 dimensional modeling equally straight forward and user friendly.

As I have been saying for many years now AutoCAD is the software of choice for the majority of architectural firms. This tutorial is a continuation of my previous title, VTC's AutoCAD 2006 for architects. I will focus on explaining and demonstrating 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional drawing skills that I believe to be the most efficient methods of drawing and modeling. This tutorial is intended for intermediate to advanced users.
